The City of Farmersville's State Historical Marker is located at Farmersville Parkway at the intersection of State Highway 78.
The generator was moved to the park in the 1980's. Farmersville's Memorial City Park is located at 153 South Main Street.
Freedom Plaza encompasses a Veterans Memorial, Memorial to Audie Murphy (most decorated Hero), and a Historical Marker commemorating Audie Murphy's homecoming in 1945 to show the great honor we have for our veterans and those who serve our great country.
Restored 1930's Onion Shed, this building was once used as a loading dock for the onion industry. A Historical Marker is located on the West entrance. The Onion Shed is now used for Farmers and Fleas Market held the first Saturday of each month, plus many other community events. The Onion Shed is located at 151 South Main Street, one block from downtown. To make reservations, please call 972-782-6533.
The Chaparral Trailhead begins at the Historic Onion Shed and the City Park in downtown Farmersville. Enjoy a 5 mile round trip on this paved trail which is maintained by the City of Farmersville. You can also travel as far as 50 miles in some rugged terrain that was previously the railroad right-of-way which has been secured to further develop the trail to Paris, Texas. Many geocache locations exist along the Chaparral Trail. There is also ample parking, a covered pavilion with picnic tables and restroom facilities, all within walking distance. What a great place for smaller children to enjoy. Rambler's Park is located at 410 Farmersville Parkway, adjacent to the Splash Pad.
The Robbin Lamkin Memorial Splash Pad, located at 502 Farmersville Parkway, is very unique to Farmersville. It's a great place for playing in the water on a hot summer day! The Splash Pad opens on Memorial Day weekend and closed after Labor Day weekend.
Another source of outdoor fun is at Southlake Park. What a beautiful setting for bird watching, enjoying a gathering under the pavilion, hike and bike trails and a nice sized lake for fishing. Southlake Park is found at 1601 Old Josephine Road.
Batter Up!!! The Spain Athletic Complex is a nice facility with five ballfields, a football area, restooms and a great place to support our kids. CLICK HERE for more information about Farmersville's Sports. The Complex is located at 400 Merit Street.

The Charles J. Rike Memorial Library is located at 203 Orange Street. It is filled with wonderful ideas and a great place to learn more about the world around us. Enjoy fellowship and good eats with some of Farmersville's most emjoyable folks. The Senior Citizens Center also offers games and activities, so come and be prepared to share and have loads of fun!
