Changes in the Water...
Raw water connections are being made to blend water from Lake Texoma with Lake Lavon beginning January 6th, 2014. This is the first of multiple tie-ins to have water piped into Lake Lavon. If you notice any difference in smell or taste of your water and have concerns, please contact City Hall at 972-782-6151.
Brush Pickup due to Ice Storm
The City of Farmersville has been removing brush since 12/17/2013 and will continue throughout the City where brush has not been picked up. Please help by following the rules listed:
1) Brush must be at the curb. The City will not cut limbs out of trees.
2) The City will make each street a few times during this process, so if you do not have the brush out you may call City Hall (972-782-6151) and we will put your address on a list to be picked up.
3) Brush cannot be larger than approximately 6" in diameter. The City will not pick up tree trunks.
4) If you have large trees and/or tree trunks, call the City to place a request for Progressive Waste Disposal to quote a price for disposal or you may take the brush and tree trunks to the landfill on the first Saturday of the month at no charge if you show a valid driver's license and/or recent water bill.
