Chief Marsha Phillips is a trailblazer in law enforcement, serving as the esteemed leader of the Farmersville Police Department since October 2022. Shattering glass ceilings as the first female chief in the department's history, she has brought a wealth of experience and dedication to her role, setting a powerful example for future generations.
Chief Phillips embarked on her law enforcement journey in 1997 with the Littlefield Police Department, where she honed her skills and dedication to public service. Her unwavering commitment to excellence, spanning over two decades, led her to the Hunt County Sheriff's Office before she joined the ranks of the Farmersville Police Department in 2012. During her tenure with Farmersville PD, Chief Phillips has distinguished herself through various roles, including patrol officer, detective, and sergeant overseeing the criminal investigations division. Her leadership and expertise were further recognized when she ascended to administrative lieutenant and, ultimately, Chief of Police. Now at the helm of the Farmersville Police Department for approximately one year and seven months, Chief Phillips continues to uphold the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and community engagement. Under her guidance, the department remains steadfast in its mission to protect and serve the citizens of Farmersville, fostering trust and collaboration within the community.
