The Farmersville Police Department is committed to building strong relationships with our residents through meaningful community engagement and outreach programs. Throughout the year, our officers participate in a variety of events designed to connect with citizens, provide valuable resources, and foster positive interactions outside of traditional law enforcement activities. One of our most popular initiatives is Walk Wednesdays, where officers spend time in neighborhoods, knocking on doors, introducing themselves, answering questions, and getting to know the people they serve. These casual conversations help strengthen community partnerships and build trust between residents and the department.
Our commitment to outreach extends beyond neighborhood visits. Each year, we celebrate Mother's Day with our cherished Flower Patrol tradition, delivering flowers and smiles to mothers throughout the community. We also host National Night Out annually, bringing residents and officers together for an evening of fellowship, education, and community spirit. Another signature event is the Cops and Rodders Farmersville Car Show, which draws visitors from across the region to enjoy classic cars, live music, great food, and family-friendly entertainment in historic downtown Farmersville.
We are especially proud of our efforts to engage with local students. Officers regularly visit schools to deliver pizza lunches, spend time with students, and encourage positive interactions in a fun and welcoming environment. This year, we even added coloring activities to make the experience even more memorable. Through these programs and many others, the Farmersville Police Department remains dedicated to serving our community, strengthening relationships, and creating opportunities for meaningful connections with the citizens we proudly protect and serve.
